Well, I didn't make it to be one of the finalists for Young Free Alabama. I appreciate all the support though! I hope Bryan Hall gets it. He is really good. Go vote for him. I will keep posting savings tips here and there, but not everyday like I was going to if I was the Spokesperson.
Anyways, it's like 1am and I am going to go to bed in a minute. I just wanted to write a little before bed. I found this new website called FlyLady.net It's really awesome at helping you organize and clean house. I know it's done wonders for me! Go check it out!
I am going to have another holiday sale before December 15th. If you would like to be the hostess and receive free product please let me know. I am having one regardless. If you are the hostess, you get the free product, if there is no hostess there will not be any free product given out.
I am excited about having my office all set up! I have all my products on a shelf (instead of in the boxes) and my computer "desk" set up.
Ugh... I really need to go to bed because tomorrow I go to school from 8am - 7pm.... Only a few more weeks before school is out!!!

Holiday Savings Tip #2
Hello readers! Today is tip #2, it's really not seasonal, but it helps during the holiday/winter season.
Have you ever been yelled at for leaving the lights on in a room you weren't in? Yeah, I've been yelled at by mom lots of times for that. Now that I am "all grown up" and on my own I realize the importance of saving electricity. Not only is it the "green" thing to do, but it saves on your utility bill! So, turn off those lights you aren't using.
Also, turn down your heat during the winter. A good number to set it on when away from the house is about 65-68 degrees. I wouldn't set it any lower than 65, because it takes a lot of energy to warm the house/apartment back up from a really low number. If you are home during the day, open up those doors and windows and let the outside air cool your home! Don't forget to turn your air off or down so your heat won't kick on. That would be a waste of what we are trying to do here. Another good idea is to set the temperature at 65-70 at night while you sleep. Colder temperatures mean better sleep according to The Better Sleep Council. A few weeks ago it was beautiful enough to sleep with the windows open and turn the air off. Now that it's getting colder, I wouldn't recommend that!
You can also do things like only wash clothes when you have a full load, and only wash dishes in the dishwasher if you have a full load. Take shorter showers, let your hair air dry some if you can. If you are baking something that could fit in a toaster oven (with the option to bake) instead of a regular oven put it in the toaster oven! This definitely helps conserve energy. You don't have to heat a larger amount of space you aren't using. Put a rug or towel down at the bottom of the door to keep outside air from coming in. Buy energy saving window treatments. I can honestly vouch for that. I have energy saving curtains at my big sliding glass door and it has cut our electricity bill down a few dollars every month, especially during the hottest and coldest months.
Well that's it for me today! I have to go to school now. I hope you found these tips helpful. I am looking forward to posting my tips for tomorrow already! Until then, ciao!

Holiday Savings Tip #1
Holiday savings tip for the day:
Have a goal and start saving now. Lets say you wanted to have $200 for Christmas gifts this year and you wanted to buy your gifts on December 12th this year. This gives you about 2 weeks to shop. Today is exactly one month. You have 4 weeks counting this week but not counting Thanksgiving week (because most work places close down for the whole week or the day before and the day after). If you can contribute on Thanksgiving week divide your amount by 5 weeks instead. If you want to save longer or shorter, do it! Customize your plan to fit YOUR needs!
$200/ 4 weeks = $50
You would need to save about $50 a week to have $200 in time for Christmas shopping. If you can contribute more, then do so if you want to. No one is stopping you! You can save more or less depending on what you need. But before you start saving any amount, you need to have a clear goal. Without a goal most people fall on the wayside and forget what they are saving for and end up spending the money here and there. Another important thing is to put that money out of sight so you won't spend it. Put it in a savings account at Listerhill! Don't attach it to your checking if you have an account there already. Make a separate savings account. You can use this account again in the future.
Another important thing to think about is what you are going to buy and how much each item is. This will help you in determining your goal. Set a limit for yourself on how much you are going to spend on each person. If you can only afford to have a small Christmas, make your list smaller. Only buy for your closest of family like, spouses, parents, siblings, and/or grandparents. Your family will understand if you don't buy EVERYONE a gift. The season is about being with the people you love. Don't let the retail market make you think otherwise!
This also works for anything you'd like to save for! Birthdays, vacations, holiday dinners, road trips, etc. This can work for reoccurring bills such as tuition, books, school supplies, rent, utilities, etc... BUT I have another plan for that and it works better! Stay tuned for more and don't forget to listen to me tomorrow at 12:30 on Star 94.9 WMSR!

Young and Free Alabama
HI!
I am so excited to announce that I am running for the Young Free Alabama Spokesperson job! This is an awesome chance at meeting new people and learning new things! For those of you that don't know, this job entails public speaking, writing a blog per day, and one video blog per week for Listerhill Credit Union. This position will put someone as the face for LCU for the 25 and under crowd. It's all about teaching our generation that credit unions are the way to go!
Check out www.youngfreealabama.com and look for my application!
I am going to be live tomorrow at 12:30 on Star 94.9 WMSR to talk about my campaign. Listen for me!This makes me think of the presidential race back in 2008. I am making campaign banners, posters, flyers, etc, talking on the radio, promoting myself on any social networking site that I can, talking to random people telling them to vote for me, and lots more. This is nothing compared to the presidential race! This is small but very, very exciting. I can't imagine running for president (even though I wanted to at some point).
Here's where I need your help, vote for me and tell everyone you know to vote for me. Everything is greatly appreciated!

11 July 2009
Wow, summer is almost over already. School starts back in a month. I am so excited about starting cosmetology school that I can't wait! I will hopefully have my license this time next year and will be starting back on the teaching degree next fall. I had to have a break. I don't think I want to do elementary anymore. It's not enough of a challenge. I am thinking I might want to do Jr. High algebra. OMG me + algebra = disaster (usually). The more I think about it, the more excited I am. I think that would also allow me to minor in music like I want. Aww heck, I might as well just skip all that and become a band director right? Well I'd love to, but there are so many unemployed music majors right now, and I don't think the situation will change in the next few years. It might change in 10 years or so, but not now.
I think I will die if I don't get to do Lionette one more year. I miss it so much. I need one of my fellow dancers to come over and make me practice like the Lionettes used to. I remember that kept the weight off! I think I miss performing most of all. The curly hair, sparkly uniforms, the way the moves just clicked into place as if you'd done it your whole life and it was a second nature like breathing, the excitement of YOUR feature, the sky high kicks, and the EXCITEMENT of it ALL! (Now I have to put in the '06 dvd and dance along with it when I'm done blogging)
Ah, what is it with EVERYONE on facebook? I mean celebrities, friends, people under 35 is ok, but not your conservative great aunt jo, or your grandmother right? If you add them as a friend then that means you have to go back and delete nasty posts and pictures that you wouldn't want them to see. On the other hand, its very rude to ignore their requests. What to do? I mean, I don't mind some of my family being "friends" with me on fb, but their is some part of my life that I want to keep from them, and no amount of limited profile is going to keep them from seeing it....
And lastly, I'm having surgery on the 16th to have my tonsils taken out. I have never been more excited about losing a body part in my life. I am crossing my fingers about this helping me stay healthier and not become sick every time I finish a medicine. The doctor we are using is Dr. Lockette out of Tuscumbia, Alabama. He has a great personality and manner. He is young (and handsome) and very up to date with new procedures. My brother used him when his throat closed up on him a few years ago, and my dad used him a few months ago to have his sinus surgery, so we like him.
I need to get off the computer and clean house! I think my dishes things are growing things! J/K!

Well that is what you told another person wanting a chihuahua. It's real sad that you would give a person hope in having a little lovely animal in the home and take it away. You are probably one of those Nigerian Scammers. You know that is all over the media and we are learning that you bunch are scammers. Here is a little lesson, LEARN SOME ENGLISH and learn how to spell. I have wasted my time with you and I will be reporting you to the proper authorities. You are a sad sad person. Why can't you go get a freaking job if you need money. That is wrong with half the people in the world today. They think they can just live off of other peoples hard earned money. I pray for you. May God help your sad sad soul.

You know what I might be young but I am not stupid. I should have googled you before. You are a notorious scammer. You don't live in Albuquerque, and you definitely don't live in Liverpool either.
